Police in Stockholm have detained a 50-year old man on suspicion of raping a woman on the Silja Galaxy ferry.
The alleged incident happened on Friday night as the ship was sailing from Sweden to Finland. The woman reported to staff on board that she had been raped, and the crew detained the man while the ship sailed back to Sweden again, where he was picked up by police.
A Stockholm Police spokesman told Swedish media that the woman was “considerably younger” than the man, but wouldn’t say what their nationalities were.
